This week, we welcomed a couple of our favorite clients back that we haven’t worked with in a few years. As most people have probably figured out by now, many of our clients become virtual friends. Even if we haven’t seen them in years (or ever), it’s always great to catch up and find out how their businesses are doing.
In other good news, we received word that our IdeaWeaver writing software passed independent platform certification testing at Veritest for Windows Client Software and Microsoft Office. (VeriTest is the testing service of Lionbridge Technologies and performs the Microsoft Platform Test for ISVÂ Solutions.) Passing the software certification was a step toward becoming Microsoft Certified Partners.
I also added a support page to the IdeaWeaver web site that has a direct link to the IdeaWeaver forum for anyone who has questions about the software or has problems using it.
In somewhat less nerdy news, I got a lot of feedback from refinishers about my Ugly Dresser. In fact, one Logical Tips reader suggested that I could get the paint off the dresser if I used a blowtorch. (Yes, a blow torch; apparently you can use a small torch for paint removal.)
Although I confess that taking a blowtorch to the Ugly Dresser has some appeal, as I told him, I’m such a klutz; I’d probably set the house on fire. But it’s good to know that there are so many avid refinishers out there in cyberspace. Clearly, most of them are far, far better at working with wood than I am, so more Ugly Dressers can be saved from the dump pile 😉
