Logical Tips is going out a little early today because the odds of us keeping power are slim. A LOT of snow has been falling all day and apparently it has turned to rain in the valley. So all the snow that has been making the trees look very festive will start falling off and a few of them will probably fall over. And bye bye electricity.
I’m just delighted we managed to retain electricity all through Thanksgiving. Here in the United States, yesterday was the Thanksgiving holiday. This holiday generally involves a lot of cooking and eating. Our stove is electric and having no power means a Thanksgiving comprised of various canned goods. Okay, the cranberry sauce is no problem, but the rest is somewhat bleak. We know because it’s happened before. One year, we lost power for 37+ hours over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was not very fun.
Fortunately, this storm held off yesterday and we were able to take our yummy stuffing and mashed potato casserole down the hill to some friends’ house and spend some serious quality time socializing and eating. These friends understand our weirdo vegetarian ways and even made us vegan-friendly food.
I hope everyone else had as much fun on Thanksgiving as we did. I bet most of you didn’t have totally tasty tofu loaf as part of dinner though 😉
