This has been another big snow week. Skiers are swooning because the local ski hill has deep powder. Our yard has deep powder, so I can only imagine what it’s like at 6,000 feet. Unfortunately, we’re not skiing yet. Even though we got our electricity back late Monday night, our pellet stove decided to blow out a fan, so we continue to baby sit our tiny wood stove. I know many folks are devoted to wood heat, but I’ll sure be glad to return to a more low maintenance heating system.
I finally did leave the house on Wednesday to go out to lunch with some friends. The roads were awful on the way there. On the way back, the roads were better, but there ended up being a 5-car accident on the big hill on the way to our house. A guy from the road department was turning cars back at the bottom of the hill. So I hung out for a while. (Dealing with winter is an exercise in patience in o-so-many ways.) But I’d like to thank our cats for having a kitty litter crisis. Because I had to stop at the grocery store for an emergency Johnny Cat run, I missed out on the accident.
In more nerdy news, I’ve begun the outline for a large training project and James is working on two projects that
involve Windows programs interacting with Web sites (a live update application and a Windows database application feeding a data-driven Website). We’re also still working on our Word automation project.
And in the midst of all that activity, we also finished the new Computor Companion and put it online.
