Sometimes it’s really cool to have a programmer around. Lately, I’ve been thinking that it would be really nifty to have the weekly articles from CC Tips appear on our Computor Companion site (www.computorcompanion.com). The Computor Companion site already has a tech newsfeed and I was thinking…"gee I wonder if there’s a way to run a news feed from our own CC Tips site." So I set James (programmer at large) on the problem.
And voila a little later he returned to report that he’s figured out all the Javascript stuff that it takes to get our own newsfeed set up. This concept is even more exciting because we can share CC Tips with more people if we offer the feed to other web sites. (If this is something you are interested in, please let us know.)
Like the old saying goes, content is king. We’ve got content, so we may as well share. And speaking of sharing, here’s the type of sharing I REALLY like:
>>Thanks so much for "Windows Explorer Weirdness" Computer Companion TIP. I
>>was in utter frustration with the sort order of my Open File dialog box.
>>It was the same exact problem you encountered…I would have never
>>found how to change this back to alphabetical order without your tip.
Getting this type of e-mail really brightens my day! (And is especially welcome when we’ve had 5.5 inches of rain since October 9.)
