I just got back from the veterinarian’s office. I picked up wormer for all four dogs. Those little magic pills are expensive, but worms are gross. (Never read about the life cycle of parasites anywhere near a meal — it will make your stomach turn.) I’m hoping that the Gold Dog’s recent digestive disturbance is just because she ate something disgusting out in the forest. In any case, after tonight, Tika and all other canines should be worm free.
Our dogs have designated beds that they sleep in at night. Normally, they snore happily all through the night. But this week, because Tika has had some urgent needs to go out, I have spent time outside standing around in my nightgown half asleep holding on to the end of her leash.
Her problems seem to occur at around 2 am. I hear a big thump as she exits her bed and then a lot of jingling from her collar as she anxiously wanders around the bedroom. Some part of my brain must realize that real badness could ensue on the carpet if I don’t take her out, so I wake up.
So between jingling sick dogs and a lot of deadlines, I’m really, really tired. Here’s hoping Miss Tika gets well soon. We did meet our big deadline though. So if you are interested in the Sandpoint, Idaho area, check out http://www.sandpoint.com.
