After last week’s issue, I got an e-mail from my aunt telling me I was working too hard 😉
Well all my whining aside, it’s not really that big of a problem. Today in fact, I goofed off quite a bit. I went to a friend’s yard sale and bought my esteemed spouse a radial arm saw. I’m the refinisher in the family so I also bought myself a very cool hand plane and even an electric one. It may take quite a bit of experimentation to figure out how to use the electric planer. Fortunately, we have a whole lot of scrap lumber I can use (read: shred) while I’m learning. My husband’s shop is starting to look like Home Depot exploded in there. (Yes, It might be time to neaten up a little…the shop has a tendency to get out of hand.)
Anyway, after having all kinds of fun at the yard sale, I went off and got myself some cool-season plants. At the farm, I pet goats, dogs, and a very cool orange manx cat. I now have some broccoli and a couple other veggies that I can plant this weekend. After having fun talking about plants, I went to a friend’s house, ate lunch, and spent quality time petting her dogs and horses. It occurred to me that I met a whole bunch of the adopted pets in the county today (well, other than mine). It was good.
So even though I may have worked all week and attended more than my share of meetings (3 in one day!), I still got to pet cool critters. And that’s not stressful at all.
