Mere moments ago, I finished uploading the last of my nasty quiz questions for my online course. Unfortunately, I can’t just e-mail them off to someone. Instead I have to input them into a browser-based form. Let me tell you, all content management systems are not created equal.
Maybe I’m just spoiled from using our LEI Publication Manager tool all the time. The LPM is fast even on my connection and it doesn’t crap out with weirdo CGI scripting errors (okay, there’s no CGI involved, but still it doesn’t crap out in general). The LPM also can understand either HTML or plain text, so if I want to go wild and put in a greater-than sign, it doesn’t lose its marbles. Egad.
Anyway, suffice it to say that it was a long afternoon, but I’m now done and quite ready to celebrate.
In other much less nerdy news, I picked a bunch of tomatoes today. And I have to say that they are really quite fine. Few things rival a perfectly ripe home-grown tomato. Unlike the Nerf-ball quality of the ones in the store, the ones from my garden are tender, juicy, and taste like a tomato.
Yum!!
