I’m not a big fan of "New Year’s Resolutions." Could I weigh less, exercise more, and make more money in 2005? Maybe. But I’m not going make official resolutions about it. Frequently, life happens and failed resolutions just make you feel crummy. Sure I’ve got goals and a whole lot of items on my to do list, but sometimes life gets in the way of making more money, exercising, and losing weight. Stressing about it probably won’t help much.
I tend to think that the end of the year is a good time for reflection, actually. Rather than focusing on what you didn’t do or should have done, I think it’s interesting to look back on what you actually did accomplish. Since I have kind of a running to do list, I went back over it to see what happened work-wise for Logical Expressions. Here are a few highlights:
For my editorial/design clients:
Edited four issues of a quarterly magazine.
Wrote 43 issues of an e-mail newsletter.
Did two print newsletters.
Created two slide presentations.
Created one wine label.
Designed 12 magazine covers.
Wrote three magazine articles.
Wrote 33 product reviews.
Wrote 24 newsletter articles.
Answered 596 questions in my online class.
Created 5 assembly instruction documents.
For my web clients:
Created four plain HTML sites
Revamped two ecommerce sites
Redesigned and resurrected one massive portal site
Rewrote 48 pages of web site content.
For LEI:
Launched 8 HTML web sites
Launched 4 Logical Web Publisher sites.
Launched the Sandpoint Store ecommerce site.
Revamped the main www.logicalexpressions.com site
Created an ebook.
Created 3 free downloadable case studies
Created 4 issues of Computor Companion magazine.
Wrote and sent 28 issues of the Pet Tails ezine
Wrote and sent 5 issues of the Sandpoint Insider ezine
And wrote and sent 52 issues of Logical Tips 😉
Anyway, if you’re feeling down and like you got nothing done all year, go back and think about it. I’ll bet you got a lot more done than you realize. (I know I did.)
Happy New Year!
