This week, our book Happy Hound made it into Amazon and our copies of the books will be here on Tuesday. (Of course, Amazon doesn’t have anything nice like a cover photo or description yet, but at least it’s in the database somewhere.)
Meanwhile, using a Web cam, James managed to get a really cute video of our wooly white dog Cami while she was wooing. Those of you with northern breeds know that they like to “sing.” Cami is a Samoyed mix and she is no exception. As I’ve written before, sometimes Cami has quite a bit of information she feels she needs to share with us, so she’ll woo and rrrrr to tell us what’s on her mind. We thought the video was cute, so we added it to the Happy Hound Web site (http://happyhoundbook.com), since Cami is also on the cover of the book. If you have broadband, you may enjoy it.
The other thing that’s funny about the video is that apparently dogs like it too. I’ve been a member of an online Samoyed discussion list off and on for many years. I posted a note with a link to the video to the list and apparently a number of Samoyed owners watched it when their dogs were nearby. As it turns out, wooing is contagious and I got a number of hilarious emails about how dogs “sang along” with Cami.
The idea of a Samoyed sing-along is just too cute.
